What first got me into music was the lack of resonance to the music I was hearing. From a young age I favored metal music as a genre until the later age of 15 where I decided it was time to diversify my taste some more. As I became more conscious of the sounds I was listening to, I started to ask questions about the topics at hand. There is so much more to life than just heartbreak, drugs and sex, and so as I sought to expand my sound diet, my own sound came to the forefront for me. I started to produce my own beats around the late age of.
As cliche as this may sound, I was inspired to make music by myself which mainly stemmed from my internal frustrations with the lack of conscious messaging I felt I needed to transmute my experiences with depression, anxiety etc. The things i was listening to brought awareness to these energies in my experience, but didnt help me out of said experience. I felt like some of the artists I was listening to had favored common messaging and topics as the center of their music. As I asked myself the question of why I listen to what I listened to and who, I started to dissect certain components of the sounds I was listening to. At the time those artist were $uicideBoy$, Xavier Wulf, Bones, Corbin (Spooky Black), Nothing Nowhere, Odd Future, Joey Bada$$, Travis Scott, Chelsea Grin, Red, Memphis Mayfire, Thousand foot krutch
I would describe the music I make as resonance music. It's heavily layered with different reverberations and textures and pannings. My music was designed to move the elements of the spirit which I do by tuning my music to different frequencies to target different chakras and other energy centers within the heart and body. I pair this with mantra based lyrics with the intention and purpose of encouraging the transmutation process of emotions and habits while also satisfying the carnal nature using elements that are heard in trap and other electronic genres. I have made almost every genre of music so I couldn't box it in under one label, all I know is that this undercurrent of intention flows beneath everything I channel sonically.
I usually start with a melody idea. typically these come to me on my way to bed in the transitory period between sleep and being awake and i vocal memeo the idea s to not lose them. I later open my software and start with finding something as a placeholder for said melody. I then stack with other sounds and go through different sound selection to find what feels right. Next I create ambient textures to complement the structure and create the world around the sound. I then move into composition and create transitions and stacks in light of the previous pattern.
I'm looking forward to collaborating with Travis Scott and Fr33sol the most being that their music is sonically the most resonant to my own.
I would open for either of the two stated above, Travis Scott or Fr33sol being that their audience would be most receptive to the sounds and messages Im offering.
Be authentic to your purpose and calling. Everyone isn't meant to do the same popularized, “Mainstream” things. Just because you aren't a celebrity and have a bunch of followers doesn't mean you are not making a difference in the world. It's not all about status and material. Focus on the people around you and let spirit handle the rest. The way I've gone about it in my journey is the thinking that if I could just help better the life of 1 person around me, I am content. I would also encourage you to keep humility at the center of your being with all things you do.
