My name is Dean. Welcome to Dean’s List. You see for most of my 78 plus years I have been keeping a mental list. And I want to hear from you.
How do you prove you have been wronged?
What would you do if you were in my shoes? Shout loudly in an open room until you were admitted for observation for mental health issues? Hire a First Amendment attorney to reverse your conviction? Begin a door-to-door campaign to change the minds of people who can’t believe this can happen in America?
Well, I have considered all these options.
At 78 years of age of weakening mind and body, shouting until I am hoarse is not going to benefit me. Although my Vietnam combat pay provided me with an adequate retirement, I am by no means wealthy and therefore like most seniors in this country, unable to have my day in court, which leaves me with this book and the matter of public opinion.
I am going to try to win you over to my point of view. And as I indicated, I want to start a dialogue with you. All I ask from you is to keep an open mind until you hear my case as opposed to the government.
