I’ve always been drawn to Nature, helping people and helping animals. Finding inner peace by being amongst our beautiful Native trees, from climbing them feeling like I was on top of the world, to sitting under them feeling their amazing energy. An opportunity to help grow our Native trees came when I worked at Atawhai Nursery, a place of learning for those with disabilities where we propagated seeds and took cuttings and grew to sell these to the public. Those were some of the best years of my life. In pursuit of my interests, and underwhelmed with our current medical system where our symptoms are treated, but not the cause, I sought to gain further knowledge around healing with our NZ Native healing plants (Ròngoa). I undertook a Diploma in Naturopathy, and a Diploma in Natural medicine, to understand their properties, how our body functions and what healing impact these native medicines have on our body.
