I see the “depth without handle” is 27″. Can you tell me the depth of the “box”, and thickness of door? While I can modify our current cabinet’s width and height, my depth (inside back of cabinet to face of cabinet) is only 24 3/4″, and I’d like the face of box to align with the face of cabinet, allowing the door to operate without binding. Thanks.

We want to build this into our remodeled kitchen and have a 25.5 inch width. for a dual zone wine fridge..can this fridge fit with a cabinet framing aroundit and a cabinet above? want it to be built in and our space is tight….thanks
Hi Bridget,
The dimension of this dual-zone wine cooler KBU170D is 23.5″W x 27″D x 71.8″H, it is built-in design with front-venting, extra space around the fridge is not required. Your kitchen has a 25.5-inch width, so it is not a problem for this fridge to built-in.
You could also refer to Page 5 on the manual, I copy it here for your reference:
Builders should allow an additional 1/2” either side of the unit, plus 1” behind the unit and 1/2” on top. These additional spaces allow units to be placed in a position easily, and without power cords being damaged. This also allows hot air that is vented from the front to rise quickly and clear the cool air intake manifold. These clearances help to keep power consumption to a minimum and prolong the life of your refrigerator.
Thanks

Do you anticipate having the 164 bottle duel zone wine chiller with the borderless black glass door available in the near future?
Hi Angus,
Thank you for asking. We wanted to keep product lines simple and discontinue the borderless black glass door of dual zone wine cooler, because it sold slowly than stainless Steel even the price is lower. But recently, it is selling good, so we decided to keep it.
It will be available in two months, around The end of November or the beginning of December. Can you wait?
Thanks from KingsBottle

is the door swing reversible?
Hi Stella,
thank you for asking, the answer is YES. The door is reversible
thanks from Kingsbottle

I understand the unit is front venting. Does that provide access for cleaning air filters and if the compressor fails can it be replaced?
Hi Laurence, thanks for reaching out to us. Usually it’s unnecessary to do the cleaning unless the ambient air is dusty. The compressor is replaceable but the cost is very expensive. In our experience, the rate of compressor failure issues is lower than 0.1 percent, we use the top quality compressor EMBRACO and we provide 5-year warranty of compressor.
if necessary, you could clean the condenser which is next to the compressor.
Thanks from compressor

Is this a “sealed” system, where the rear panel is sealed and will not completely allow repairs? In other words, is the rear panel removable.
Hi Jerry,
I wonder whether I replied you or not. I thought I replied, but the system show NO.
The rear panel is unremovable. There is a WALL inside the cabinet, it is between the door and the rear panel. Behind the WALL, there are evaporator and fan. If repair required, the WALL is removable.
Thanks

The depth states 27″. Is that the depth of the case itself, or does it include the handle?
Hi Cindy,
thanks for your question. 27” is the depth of case itself. Handle is excluded.
