McKade Levi Marshall
McKade Levi Marshall was born on Tuesday, September 4, 1984, at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene, Texas. Throughout his childhood and younger years he lived in Albany, Texas, where he spent many days at the Old Jail Art Center as a junior docent and on the basketball court preparing to become the next Larry Bird. He later moved to Abilene, where he graduated at the top of his class at Cooper High School.
For the next six years McKade pursued collegiate endeavors, achieving his Bachelor of Business Administration and Masters of Business Administration at Hardin-Simmons University with a perfect 4.0 GPA and also serving as student body president during undergraduate studies. While in graduate school he decided a career as a business executive was out of the question after spending only three months at a local accounting firm. McKade decided to try something different and began working as a barista at a local coffee shop. As fate would have it, he was approached by a co-worker who knew of an upcoming local college production of “Medea” by Euripides. After auditioning, he was chosen for the leading role as Jason by director James Arrington. It was at this moment that he was permanently bitten by the acting bug. His performance garnered him a Best Lead Actor nomination through the university.
That following summer he spent in New York City discovering and honing his new craft attending various acting workshops before returning to Texas to complete his graduate degree. In his final semester of college, he auditioned for another upcoming production “The Glass Menagerie” by Tennessee Williams. This time he landed the lead role as Jim O’ Connor. His times on stage led him to a point of personal enlightenment and self-discovery. He knew that his new path was leading him to Hollywood.
In 2010 McKade packed his bags and drove to Hollywood. Within a few months he relocated to Malibu, where only a year later he was named one of “Malibu’s Most Eligible Bachelors” by Malibu Times Magazine. During this time he worked with rescue animals on a beautiful private ranch overlooking the Pacific Ocean in exchange for room and board in an Airstream. Also, so as to not sell himself short, he capitalized on his business education and consulted a few individual and local businesses.
Malibu has become home to McKade. He is involved with several non-profits, working with a small grassroot political campaign that has evolved into Preserve Malibu Coalition. He also has served Rotary International and at the annual Kiwanis Club main event Malibu Chili Cookoff with Dick Van Dyke. McKade is an advocate for children, animals, and Israel. His passions are multifaceted. All of this culminates in McKade’s life philosophy of “living the dream”.
The Malibu “state of mind” serves McKade well. His day may include a morning jog and workout on the beach, a drive to Starbucks wearing sweatpants and Texas cowboy boots, and evenings attending Red Carpet Galas with the likes of celebrities such as Gwen Stefani, Cuba Gooding Jr. and Gerard Butler to name a few.
Today, McKade travels frequently across Texas and from Los Angeles to New York working on projects that come his way. He is the author of four inspirational Christian books: Why I Stand With Israel (2021) Tasting the Goodness of God (August 2014), Breathe (April 2016), and Finding Your Keys (April 2018). He also hosts a weekly YouTube show called Word of the Week and a web TV series called The Better View with McKade with audiences from all over the world. McKade Marshall is in an ongoing pursuit of living a life that best serves the inherent passions which drive him to live his life as best he knows how.
