About The Author

Meet The Author

Kris Davis lives in Boise, Idaho with her husband, Mike, and 2 Australian Shepherds, Ruby and Indi. She taught elementary students for 33 years before retiring. She has been an avid hiker her whole adult life but became a backpacker in 2015. Kris and her friend, Patty, conquered 3 sections of the Pacific Crest Trail in Oregon and Washington.

Kris has a great desire to motivate children to want to hike and explore nature. But she also wants to continue to educate parents on foundational reading and math skills.
