Learn the healing properties of the plant medicines of Aotearoa; Their usage, dosage, method of preparation, historical uses, and other properties.
Born in the 1960s, I grew up in Invercargill, South Island, New Zealand, as the youngest of three children. From an early age, I felt deeply connected to others’ emotions and developed a strong desire to help people.
Always eager for challenges, I joined the Air Force in my early 20s to leave Invercargill and explore the world. However, I soon realized I was too free-spirited for the structured life of the military.
In the early 1990s, I was blessed with a son. I traveled around the North Island before settling in Taranaki, where my passion for healing led me to pursue a Diploma in Naturopathy, followed by a Diploma in Herbal Medicine—fields I hold a deep passion for.
By writing this book, I aim to inspire and empower others with the wisdom of natural healing through the medicinal plants of Aotearoa, combining traditional Māori knowledge with modern herbal medicine. My mission is to share the gifts of nature and promote holistic well-being for all.
I wish to create a world where the healing properties of plants are embraced so that people can have deeper connections to nature, cultural traditions, and the pursuit of vibrant, balanced health.
Vicky T. Condon, a passionate healer from New Zealand, combines naturopathy, herbal medicine, and Māori cultural wisdom to promote holistic healing of body, mind, and spirit through natural remedies.
