Amy Elizabeth Winslow and her two cats, Romeo & Juliet, live in the Washington, DC suburbs of Northern Virginia. She lives in a little house next to Loch Lomond Elementary School, the school she attended as a child. Amy is a 2010 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, TIME Magazine’s High School of the year 2001. Amy attended college at the Art Institute of Washington, DC and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Media Arts & Animation in the Spring of 2014. Amy did her Post Graduate Studies in Children’s Literature.
Amy’s interest in art started when her Mother put a paint brush in her hand at age 2. Amy went on to win many awards for her art, while still in public school. Amy’s artwork has been on display in the Virginia Museum of Natural History, and United States Congressional Art Show.
When Amy is not writing and illustrating, she enjoys gardening, hiking, swimming, reading, baking and DIY projects.
