The Heart & Hero
Every child is unique, but some come into the world with a spark that lights up everything and everyone around
“Arthur & His Red Pocket Rockets” is a touching story about Arthur, a kid with hearing loss. It gives us a peek into Arthur’s life, showing us that hearing loss isn’t something to misunderstand or fear.
Born in Parramatta, NSW, spent my younger years in Western Sydney and after detour to the Gold Coast, I settled into rural NSW life for a good chunk of time. I’ve got two awesome kids – first came my daughter, then my son, who threw us a real curveball. When I was pregnant with him, I suffered a intracerebral haemorrhage. Crazy times, but with a bit of grit, I got through surgery and rehab to welcome him safely.
I want to write books that really get to you – make you feel, think, and maybe even shake things up for the long haul.
Down the line, I wanna dive into all kinds of stories, making each one memorable.
My dream? To be a well-known author with stories that not only entertain but make you stop and think. I’m all about learning, experimenting, and hopefully, inspiring future writers to chase their dreams too.
I wrote a book that’s more than just words on a page. It’s about spreading kindness, acceptance, and understanding, especially for kids with special needs. My youngest grandson, who’s just amazing and was born with hearing loss, inspired me. I want this book to help people see what life’s like for kids with hearing impairment and show how awesome they can be with the right support.
I chose to write a book because stories are powerful. They teach us, move us, and bring us together. My dream is that this book helps create a world where everyone, including kids like my grandson, is appreciated for who they are, not judged for their differences.
