Born and raised on a farm in Minnesota, accepted Jesus as my Savior in 9th grade. I am a Christian, and I credit this to being raised in a loving Christian family. I grew up with three brothers and Church played a significant role in our lives. The hard but rewarding work of planting crops and raising animals was integral to our upbringing. Our parents instilled is us boys the values of loving God, prayer, and striving to be a good Christian example to others.
Drafted into the Army, served in Berlin, West Germany, and Vietnam. Settled in Chicago area, worked for airlines 5 years, and computer programming in Banking for 20 years. Also taught Programming classes at Roosevelt University for 15 years. Acquired a double major Batchelor degree in business and programming, Master of Science degree in Computer Science, and Master of Arta degree in Education. Taught college level programming classes for 10 years, and High School Industrial Arts Classes for 13 years. God is good, it is by the grace of God I am here, I was severely. wounded in Vietnam and after many people praying for me and 7 months of rehab, and many operations I am still here. I say thank you God every morning.

Book of prayers is created from the book of Psalms. God speaks to us every day, but often we are too preoccupied to hear Him. Sometimes, we may even resist hearing His voice because we want to do things our way, not His. This book of prayers did not start out with the intention of becoming a book. l initially created these prayers to come close to God. As I read through the book of Psalms the Holy Spirit put words and ideas in my mind that became sentences and then various prayers. When I had finished and looked at the different prayers created, I was amazed at the results. Then came the thought of creating this book for all to read to enrich their own prayer life. Christian or non-Christian seeking to learn more about God, I encourage you to turn to the Bible. When you seek to learn more and come closer to God, He will come close to you. Prayer is the key to talking with God. I hope these prayers will help you with your walk and talk with the Lord.
